London

London is basically New York only better- much cleaner, a little cheaper, and less crowded. Everyone could tell we were from America but Kris had a great time faking a UK accent. We landed pretty late but were still able to catch a bite to eat at KinTan (Japanese BBQ), which was the only meal I enjoyed this trip. Though the food was lackluster in London, I would definetely consider moving here!

London VS New York, which one is for you?
  1. The Underground vs The Subway - I prefer The Underground, it's less crowded and just as fast as the Subway. However there is NO AC, which sucks because to get to most trains you're walking underground for 2-5 mins. I also really appreciate the frequency of trains (every 3 mins), you def can't get that waiting for the 2/3 in NYC on the weekend. Whew chile.
  2. Buckingham Palace vs The White House - Lol for starters, everyone outside of the Buckingham Palace is happy to be there. The thought of seeing The Queen or any other Royal is more than enough to put a smile on everyone's face including tourists. PSA: I know The White House isn't in NYC, but it makes the most sense
  3. Big Ben vs The Statue of Liberty - I've lived in NYC for 2 years and I have never seen Lady Liberty - not because I didn't want to, she's just too far. Big Ben on the other hand is in Parliament Square, which is were all the laws are made. You can't miss Big Ben, unless of course you visit while it's under construction and doesn't ring... which was our case.
  4. Kensington Palace vs The MoMA - Let me just say, RIP MY SIS PRINCESS DIANA!! Okay moving on, Kensington Palace is filled with a ton of art from when past Kings/Queens ruled. You can explore rooms where the King sentenced peasants and where The Queen slept. My favorite part was the gallery dedicated to Princess Di. They showcased my girl's most ICONIC style moments. Sis was known to shake the table!
  5. Oxford Circus vs Fifth Ave - Oxford Circus had shops for the wealthy and the modest. You can find luxury brands but you'll also see NIKE, H&M, Topshop, Urban Outfitters, and Zara. Oxford Circus also has less traffic.
  6. Golden Union Fish and Chips vs NYC Pizza - I am a very picky eater but I am trying to keep an open mind while visiting new countries. Fish and Chips is a staple in London, but they can keep that! It was trash, I sent my food back and Kris had to drown his in Tabasco hot sauce. #BringYourOwnLawrys
  7. Barry's Bootcamp London vs Barry's Bootcamp NYC - We make it a point to visit Barry's in every city we visit. The London location was way more spacious than NYC and offers a  FREE water fountain. The energy is great in any city but London was a little more challenging, my legs are still sore days later. NYC location has better protein shakes though!
  8. Tea Terrace vs Starbucks - Tea is a huge thing in London, so of course we stopped for afternoon tea and scones. Tea Terrace is perf if you're going for a great decor.
  9. London Ice Bar vs Brooklyn Barge - London Ice Bar is way more diverse, with a cooler theme (lol, get it?) Besides the floor and ceiling everything was made of ice...including the bar, cups, art work, chairs and tables.
  10. London's Eye vs Coney Island - London's Eye is beautiful at night! That's about it though, it's just a giant ferris wheel that looks over London. Coney Island has a lot more to do as it is an amusement park and "beach".
