Miami

Our first “baecation” was a trip to Miami. This is one of our favorite vacations for when we need a quick getaway. The flights are pretty affordable from NYC & the weather is great. Our first trip to Miami was very special because we hadn't seen each other in 2 months. I was still in D.C wrapping my senior year up at HU and he was in NYC. Our 2nd trip was for our 2 year anniversary! So needless to say, both times we couldn't wait to get our vacay started.

Here’s a list of 10 fun things to do:

1. Lay out on the beach (obviously).
2. Outside clubs - Super fun and less touristy + it’s outside so not too sweaty and hot at night.
3. Wynwood - Artsy vibes, it’s known for colorful murals.
4. Helicopter ride over the shore - Check out Groupon for a good deal! 
5. Little Havana - We enjoyed walking around learning more about to area, eating ice cream, and people watching. 
6. Skinny Dip on South Beach - Super surprised Kris was down for this.. I initially said it as a joke. He almost chicken'd out though bc "the waters too cold" Note: I would suggest doing this at night.. 
7. Nobu Miami - Head ass but it was my first time and it was HELLA good. I got the Miso glazed Cod, it was the best meal I've had in my entire life *I'm being dramatic but also serious*
8. Volunteering - this was the perfect ending to our second trip in Miami. 
9. Hotel Parties - For our first trip to Miami, we stayed at The Clevelander! It's super lit, but overpriced ASF. When I found out how much Kris paid for us to stay there I was low-key pissed but it was the begining of our relationship so.. I chalked it up to him trying to impress me lol. PROS: It is literally steps away from the beach & perf for day/night parties. CONS: the music never stops (which sucked when we actually were trying to sleep) / gets pretty crowded
10. Take a cruise to the Bahamas - So a cruise to Bahamas from Miami is actually hella cheap. We spent less than $500 for an all inclusive weekend trip to the Bahamas from Miami. Check out our next post on how that was!!!
